Ms. Hong was previously Associate Chief Counsel for litigation in FDA’s Office of the Chief Counsel where she handled enforcement actions and defended agency actions relating to foods, drugs, dietary supplements, and tobacco products. She was responsible for advising senior agency officials on case strategy and negotiating settlements, and she was engaged in all aspects of enforcement activities by FDA as well as litigation against FDA. Ms. Hong is also experienced in pharmaceutical law and citizen petitions, and prior to joining FDA she served in the Office of the General Counsel within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and practiced patent litigation with two international law firms. Ms. Hong’s knowledge and experience will be especially valuable to companies in assessing FDA enforcement risks or when facing agency enforcement action, as well as to those seeking advice on FDA-related compliance programs.
