KKB Partner Suzan Onel Authors Chapter in FLN’s Treatise “How We Make Things at Home: Artisanal Categories in Food Law”

The Food Lawyers’ Network (FLN), an international association of lawyers specializing in food law, recently published a treatise on the laws and regulations applicable to artisanally made foods.  Among other questions, the publication addresses country-specific requirements for labeling foods as “artisanal,” “traditional,” “natural,” and similar descriptors. KKB Partner Suzan Onel co-authored a chapter describing the usage of such terms in the United States, which examines the regulation of such terms by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), as well as private plaintiffs.
