KKB Partner Cynthia L. Meyer will be speaking at the Food and Drug Law Institute’s (FDLI’s) Food Advertising, Labeling, and Litigation Conference on September 22, 2020. Ms. Meyer’s panel, “The Rise of Wellness Products: Legal Issues for Supplement Health Benefit Claims and Foods that are More Than Just Food,” will feature discussions on trends for products purported to have wellness benefits, the sometimes blurry line between foods, dietary supplements, and drugs, the extent to which structure/function claims are allowed for foods, recent enforcement actions, and public interest considerations. Ms. Meyer will be joined by co-panelists, Lorie Foster (Abbott Nutrition), Laura MacCleery (Center for Science in the Public Interest), and Raqiyyah Pippins (Arnold & Porter).
