A foreign client sought advice in developing compliant labeling and advertising for its large line of dietary supplements, cosmetics, and foods marketed to Spanish-speaking consumers in the U.S. KKB worked with the client for several years to ensure that labels and promotional materials (including website material) for new and existing products are consistent with FDA and FTC requirements.

Over the course of KKB's representation of the client, we have advised the client on developing requirements that impact its business, such as those imposed by the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Preparedness and Response Act of 2002, the Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004, the Dietary Supplement and Nonprescription Drug Consumer Protection Act, and FDA regulations establishing current good manufacturing practices for dietary supplements.

KKB has also assisted in the client in responding to questions that have arisen during the course of routine inspections by State and Federal authorities. In addition, KKB has assisted the client in successfully negotiating the release of several shipments detained at the border.
