KKB represents tobacco companies and associations in helping to assure compliance with the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act ("TCA"), Prevent All Cigarette Trafficking Act ("PACT Act"), and other federal and state laws regulating the manufacture, importation, and sale of tobacco products. Because these are incipient areas of law, we have worked closely with the regulatory agencies involved to represent our clients' interests throughout the development of tobacco product regulations and guidance. Among other things, we have participated in agency meetings, filed letters, submitted citizen petitions, and offered comments to public dockets. We were also instrumental in the drafting of the small business provisions of the TCA.
